Read Terrence Malick's 1979 Script Notes within the Tree of Existence Precursor Qasida
When Vital gave a publish-Occasions of Paradise Terrence Malick $millions of, carte blanche, to produce his next film, he began developing a highly ambitious project concerning the roll-from existence as well as the cosmos entitled Qasida (or, simply, Q). Clearly, the studio balked within the abstract Malick-ness from this all, the film postponed, as well as the director needed the next 20 years taken off filmmaking. But! Now you can read Malick’s own Q script notes, circa 1979, and picture how his globe-trotting Q eventually morphed into this year’s Tree of Existence. But seriously: Q sounds as beautiful and enchanting since the cosmic sequences it inspired in Tree of Existence, and even more impenetrable. A sum Sean Penn type of it?
